Shon Rogers

Shon Rogers is a Minneapolis native and distinguished graduate of Minneapolis Southwest High School, Class of 1987. A dynamic presence on the basketball court throughout his youth, he emerged as one of the top student-athletes in the city of Minneapolis. His high school career is highlighted by being a two-time All-City performer and a one-time Allstate selection, honors that reflect both his athletic excellence and dedication to the sport.
In addition to his high school success, Shon made a mark beyond local competition. He was selected as a member of the first-ever Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) boys’ basketball team, demonstrating his leadership and pioneering spirit as youth basketball expanded in Minnesota. In 1985, he further represented the state as a participant on the Minnesota Junior Olympics Basketball Team, showcasing his talent on a broader competitive stage.
Shon’s early accomplishments speak to his discipline, determination, and commitment to teamwork—qualities that have continued to define his life beyond athletics. Known for his strong work ethic and contributions to youth sports development, Shon remains a respected figure among those who value perseverance, community engagement, and the power of sport to inspire.
