Summary

Minnesota, a state known for its rich history of producing influential African American figures, is also the proud home of many exceptional African American basketball players who have profoundly shaped our community. Our mission is to shine a light on those who have been overlooked, celebrate their enduring legacies, and ensure that the remarkable history of African American basketball players in the Twin Cities and beyond is preserved and shared for future generations.

The Problem

The history and legacy of African American basketball players in the Twin Cities are often overlooked and forgotten.

The Twin Cities and the surrounding areas are home to many influential African American basketball players whose legacies have significantly shaped the sport and enriched the Minnesota community and beyond.

Unfortunately, their contributions often go unrecognized, and only a few people know of their remarkable history.

Our Solution

  1. We recognize the extraordinary individuals who may have been overlooked in the world of basketball.
  2. Our organization is committed to implementing specific processes and requirements to identify and honor the African American basketball legends who have significantly shaped both the game and the Twin Cities community, as well as beyond.
  3. We celebrate their achievements each year through our “Hall of Famers” event and ceremony.
  4. We have established the Keith Davis Scholarship program to support the next generation, helping them achieve their potential and inspiring them to make meaningful, lasting contributions.
  5. We are dedicated to preserve the greater Twin Cities African American basketball legends’ history and share our extensive library with both the community and global audiences.
