Rufus Johnson is a proud graduate from Minneapolis North High School class of 1975, where he excelled as a standout athlete in both basketball and football. During his senior year at North, Rufus was recognized as one of the top performers in the Minneapolis City Conference in basketball, showcasing his talent, leadership, and competitive spirit.
His love for sports began early, growing out of youth athletics into a lifelong passion that has shaped both his life and impact on the community. After his playing days, Rufus became deeply involved in preserving and celebrating the history of high school athletics in Minnesota. Today he is respected as a dedicated historian of Minnesota high school basketball and football, committed to documenting, and sharing the stories of the athletes, teams, and moments that have defined both sports.
